Instructors

Hahna David Patterson, M.A., is the founder and chief instructor of Maine Budo. Mr. Patterson began his journey in the art in 1989 and continues to pursue both teaching and learning with passion and a constant desire to improve. He is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and an adjunct faculty member at the University of New England. He has traveled throughout North America and Asia on his quest for studying authentic Japanese martial arts. He provides a unique experience in his teaching by blending the historical, philosophical, and psychological components of true Budo.

Robert Morin, M.B.A., has been training since 2000 and was the first student to join Maine Budo. He has remained committed on the path of Budo while successfully managing a career and devoting himself to his family. Students benefit from his sincerity, openness to share, and sense of humor.
